It will work as a great gift and better yet, they come as a 3-pack. You can't have too many bibs! I'm only giving 4/5 stars, because it's a basic plastic bib. The quality looks sufficient, but I don't have a feeling that it would last past one child.Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
