Slapstick comedy was taken to new heights in 2007 thanks to Andy Samberg and a Tomos Sprint moped. That's when the movie Hot Rod first came out. Audiences were wowed but didn't exactly come out in droves to see the SNL star's first movie, but with amazingly quotable movie moments, it's fandom has surged over the years becoming firmly cemented as a cult classic comedy. And, of course, you know what that means. That Rod is one of the most in-demand characters to go as each and every Halloween!
We were on top of that, naturally, because we teamed up with Paramount Pictures to product the officially licensed Hot Rod costume. Design & Details
Paramount Pictures officially licensed, this Hot Rod Kimble Costume is part of our Made by Us costume line, designed and crafted by our in-house design team to recreate Rod's stuntman style as a replica of the threads he wore in the movie.The costume features a jumpsuit printed to look like distressed denim, complete with printed American flag details and patches. It even includes an attached bright yellow cape just like the one worn by the character, and you know that's for sure because "ROD" is spelled out in appliqued letters on the back! Complete the look with our Hot Rod wig and mustache set, sold separately, and you'll feel like you're ready for your own motorcycle jumps. Cool beans!
