The Best Empire
You’re a historian of ancient civilizations. That’s pretty cool! You’ve traveled all over the world and visited burial chambers and ruins of temples. You’ve helped dig out roads covered in overgrown jungle and mapped cities based on satellite imagery. All in all, you’re in a pretty exciting field, despite what most people might think. The trick is, everyone keeps asking you what your favorite ancient empire is. But, you refuse to say—the bias might interfere with your research! And anyway, between the Romans, Greeks, Sumerians, Hittites, Aztec, and Maya, and…and…how could you possibly choose? There are just so many to choose from.
But…ah, to heck with it, your new book just came out and it’s about time you show everyone what your favorite ancient civilization really is with this Plus Size King of Egypt Costume! Really. The pharaohs of Egypt, the Nile flood basin, the thousands of years of art and development, and of course, the Pyramids! How could you not choose that as your favorite? And then dress in appropriate garb?
So when you dress up as the Nile King, you’ll finally be able to tell everyone how much you stand for this civilization. You can show everyone the included elaborate headdress and all its historic meaning. Or, you can explain the collar/cape combo that fits over your head and over the sleeveless pullover tank top. The skirt is also important, and was probably first made fashionable by an early Pharaoh, right? It features an embroidered bird and faux gems. Finally, the whole ensemble is brought together with a triangular faux leather medallion on a ribbon necklace, inset with a faux gem, that surely recalls your favorite sub-era of Egyptian high-fashion! It’s all so exciting to finally get to talk about.
Don’t Get Too Excited
Remember, not everyone shares the same love of ancient Egypt as you do, so make sure not to go on for too long about your passion. But do make sure to have fun, that’s what getting all dressed like this is all about, right? Well, that, and the power that comes from feeling like an ancient king!
