WHO CAN WAIT FOR THE FULL MOON?
Lycanthropy is a rather odd sort of curse, don't you think? And, there are so many contradicting rules about it all. Sometimes you're born with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf. Perhaps only a wolf. Other times, the werewolf takes on that hybrid look and sprouts fur all over the place. (And occasionally becomes really good at basketball?) Then there are the few unfortunate ones that really just get thick eyebrows... though that might not be related at all, actually.
Either way, the greater confusion of it is how much control over that transformation a werewolf might have. Do they really have to wait for the full moon for the fun to take place? Do they have to see it or just be in the area where it's going on? How about the others that seem to be able to shift whenever they feel like it... or the ones that only transform when things get really hairy?
