The battery compartment is tucked into a pocket on the headband itself, not on the side. The nose runs on 2 CR2032 button batteries, and demo batteries are included, so it's worth swapping those out for fresh ones if the nose still isn't lighting up, since demo batteries can be low right out of the box.(AI Generated Answer)
