Poor poor, Pierrot!

That poor Pierrot! It seems like every single time we watch one of those traveling theater troupes from Commedia Dell'arte put on a play, the clown Pierrot always seems to get the short end of the stick. Sure, he often plays the bumbling fool, but really he's just a guy down on his luck. He's always the butt of the jokes, never gets the girl, and always ends up sad by the end of the play.

What? What do you mean that's his character? Wait, so all of the characters in those plays are caricatures, and Pierrot is the sad tragic clown all the time? Well. That clears a lot up. If that's the case, then we really must commend the poor Pierrot (and his actor) for always making us pity him. Superb! Excellent! A most stupendous character indeed.

Fun Details

Well, know that we know what Pierrot's point is, we feel confident in offering our own Vintage Pierrot Clown Men's Costume for any theatre enthusiasts who would like to try their hand at the role of Pierrot. This costume includes a white shirt with black pompoms down the front and elastic at the sleeve cuffs. The white pants have an elastic waistband, as well as gathering at the ankles. There are many ruffly layers at the neck, wrists, and ankles, all with a stark black edging. This outfit even comes with a black stretch knit hood and is a exclusive.

Go go, Pierrot!

There you have it. If you're an actor or theatre enthusiast, you can try becoming the tragic clown! Wow, that sounds pretty depressing. Like we didn't mean to make it sound that bad. Being Pierrot is a great opportunity, really! Good practice and experience! Well, we're not really into theater, so we can't 100 percent verify that statement, but we're pretty sure we're right. Don't worry, we'll be rooting for you and the tragic Pierrot!
