FOLLOW YOUR DREAM
Flashdance is first and foremost a movie about dancing, but when you peel back the metaphorical layers, you find that it is first and foremost about following your dreams. Alex worked at a steel mill, but always had big dreams of becoming a dancer, but when faced with the daunting task of applying to a dance school, she backed out, thinking she wasn't good enough.
We hate to preach life lessons at you, but this is a perfect example of the saying "the only limits are the ones you set yourself." With the help of some supportive friends and a little bit of courage, Alex went to that audition and achieved the first step towards following her dream! It's a truly empowering story. The great message behind the movie, paired with the fun 80's feel, makes this into one amazing Flashdance Women's Costume!
