A Quest to Learn
How do the heroes we admire actually learn the skills they use to conquer obstacles on their brave adventures? It isn't like they're just born with talent in swordplay or the deft ability to dash unseen from shadow to shadow. Well, it turns out there is quite the college to help future dungeon delvers learn how to make the most out of their treasure hunts!
Gather up to 6 players to enjoy 20 minutes of adventuring fun in Dungeon Academy. This is a roll-and-write style of game where dice are rolled into a 4x4 grid that represents a 16-room dungeon. Each die has a number of symbols that represent healing or magic potions, small or large monsters, and other specialized rooms. Flip over the timer and each player will sketch out the path they will take through the dungeon quick as they can. After everyone has finished, explore through the path you chose. Defeat monsters by spending health and mana, heal up if you were lucky, and claim points for completing your quests. Between rounds, draw random treasure cards to help you out—but you choose treasure in order of who sketched first! In consecutive rounds, you'll replace dice with black dice that have stranger types of rooms or with a boss die that offers up even more danger (and points). Whoever has the most exciting and rewarding dungeon adventure learned the most and graduates from the Dungeon Academy!
