This train runs on thirty-two pieces of track. The track can be paired with any other Lionel Trains ready to play track. Thomas's face is interchangeable, with three different faces. The top of the passenger cars come off so that toys can be placed inside for the journey. The train itself runs on six C batteries while the remote runs on three AAA batteries. While the remote allows you to run the train backward and forward, it also allows you to sound the whistle, bell, and special announcements.
